Down Under

We're currently cruising at 35,000 feet on our way to Sydney, Australia.  The team hopes to reach its destination in the coming weeks.  Did you know SPU has a study abroad program affiliation with the Australia Studies Centre?  Learn more here.

Thank you to all the alumni, parents, and friends of the university who have already contributed to this year's goal.  Having the opportunity to talk with each and every one of you is the best part of being a member of the Falcon Investment Team.

See you in Sydney.  G'Day, mate.

Around the World in 2011-2012

The Falcon Investment Team is traveling around the world in 2011-2012 in support of Seattle Pacific University.  This year we invite you to follow our efforts to raise support for the students of the Seattle Pacific community.  We've matched our year's fundraising goal to a global itinerary that allows us to track our progress along the way while having a little fun at each stop.

Our Bookshleves

Our team's reading habits vary.  When we get the chance to read something in addition to our assigned texts from class (ok, not that often), here is a sampling of what we're grabbing off the bookshelf.  From Holes by Sachar to The Republic by Plato!
Also, thanks to those people we have called who actually passed on some reading suggestions to us, too.  In case you're interested, here are the titles suggested by each team member.

Becca - Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
Michael - Cat’s Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut, Jr.
Kenneth - Cry, The Beloved Country by Alan Paton
Lindsey T - The Bible
Jon - Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card
Aubrey - The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

Pumpking Carving

Tonight we carved pumpkins for the President's Circle Dinner later this week.  The "THANK YOU" pumpkins will fill the entrance to Upper Gwinn welcoming many supporters of Seattle Pacific.  On top of this, we also had a great night of calling - thanks for your contributions!
